Peter, Joanne & Charlie 02/05/2026 - 07/05/2026

Peter, Joanne and Charlie joined us for the week on the 2nd of May, but unfortunately had to head home a little earlier than planned yesterday morning. Even with a shortened trip, the fishing certainly didn’t disappoint!

Between Peter and Charlie, they landed a total of 17 carp, including:

5 carp over 30lb
7 carp over 35lb
5 carp over 40lb

639.9lbs of carp landed, with an average weight of 37.6lbs - impressive!

What makes the result even more impressive is that they really didn’t fish hard at all — only doing one overnight session during the trip, fishing with just two rods each, and often not even keeping the rods in the water during the daytime!

Joanne decided to take things easy and enjoy a relaxing week by the lake while the boys did the fishing.

A brilliant family trip with some lovely fish along the way.

Dale & Paul 18/04/2026 - 25/04/2026

Dale and Paul joined us for their first visit to Champ Chevaux this week. They landed a total of 18 carp, with the largest being a stunning 44.14lb common A great result — especially considering that midweek some of the fish switched into spawning mode; always a good sign of a healthy, thriving lake. We have a week off this week, carrying out some maintenance, and allowing the fish to finish spawning and get back on the feed.

A massive thank you to Dale and Paul for being great guests — we had a brilliant week and hope to see you both back again in the future.

Gavin, Colin & Malc 11/04/2026 - 18/04/2026

Gavin, Colin and Malc joined us for their first trip to Champ Chevaux Carp Fishing, but as returning guests from when the lake was Etang Tissier, having been visiting the lake for 12 years! They had a great week with us, and landed 18 fish, including a 48lb mirror, now known as 'The Boss'.

Following their visit, they wrote the following review: Yet another great week at Champ Chevaux. I first came here in 2014 and have been returning ever since so that should tell you everything. The lake is stunning set in a picturesque part of France and so peaceful. If you want a bend in your rod or rods then this place is for you , there are so many stunning fish in this highly stocked lake. If you’re looking for a lake that has a great social aspect you will not find a better place. There’s plenty of English power points and great utilities bank side too. The new owners Celia , Paul and Adam greeted us on arrival and they could t do enough throughout the week for us. We had bait boat issues so Paul kindly lent us his one so it didn’t ruin our week. Thank you guys. Honestly anyone looking for a great week then you will not go wrong here. We will definitely be retuning again.

Ryan, Ashely & Steve 04/04/2026 - 11/04/2026

Ryan, Ashley and Steve joined us for their first trip to Champ Chevaux Carp Fishing and had a great week. We had a sudden spike in temperatures this week, but they still pulled 29 fish out the water, some absolute beauties.

Ryan sent us the following message when he got home: Hello, I just want to thank you, Paul and Adam for such an amazing week!! It was perfect. You’ve got a stunning fishery!! The food was perfect all week! You lot couldn’t do enough for us! I will deffo be back! Again thank you so so much!! We have all loved it!!

Paul & Adam 04/10/25 - 11/10/25

This week was the first week that we were actually able to spend some time fishing the lakes so when we got the odd hour, we got a line out. As you can see we had some good results. Simply amazing to be fishing lakes as the owners :-D

Kevin, Geoff & Gary 27/09/2025 - 04/10/2025

Kevin, Geoff and Gary fished with us at Champ Chevaux and had lovely weather compared to the week previous. They fished four out of six swims and had 25 carp between them. They had such a great time, they've already enquired about returning to us next year, and we cannot wait to have them back!

Paul & Andy 20/09/25 - 27/09/25

Paul & Andy arrived with us for a very wet week, but the significant decline in temperature didn't stop them catching a staggering 49 carp, ranging up to 44lbs, a selection of which you can see below. Thank you Paul and Andy for being great guests.

Paul & Celia the new owners were fantastic and nothing was to much trouble for them, they even dried some of our clothes for us which was above and beyond and massively appreciated
